Scenario 1: Palletizing of Finished Sheet Metal Parts


A sheet metal processing plant in Brazil required automated palletizing of finished sheet metal parts. Traditional manual stacking was inefficient and prone to toppling, affecting subsequent warehousing and transportation.

 

This project used a pick-and-place industrial robot with a 2131mm reach, paired with a robot base to increase the palletizing height coverage. The robot picks finished sheet metal parts from the end of the production line and stacks them neatly onto pallets according to a preset pattern, enabling automated stacking operations.

 

The solution replaces manual handling and palletizing of large-sized sheet metal parts, improving palletizing consistency and process flow efficiency, and realizing automation at the end of the sheet metal processing line.

Scenario 2: Injection Molding Part Removal, Turning and Palletizing


A European plastic processing plant produces complex plastic parts in batches. Traditional manual part removal next to injection molding machines poses safety risks such as burns and crush injuries.

 

This project uses a pick-and-place industrial robot that communicates with the injection molding machine via signals to automatically remove parts after mold opening. The system is equipped with a custom turning fixture. After the robot takes out the workpiece, it simultaneously separates the sprue, adjusts the workpiece orientation via the fixture, and then performs secondary picking and automatic palletizing. The entire process achieves automated operation of part removal, sprue separation, turning, and palletizing.

 

This solution reduces human involvement, lowers safety risks during high-temperature part removal, enables continuous automated operation of injection molding part removal and palletizing. It ensures consistent workpiece orientation and stacking, and improves the continuous production efficiency of the injection molding line.
