Combined with a customized dual-axis positioner, workpieces can be automatically flipped for multi-angle welding after a single clamping, eliminating the need for secondary manual re-fixturing. Scenarios Ⅱ: TIG Welding of Stainless Steel
A precision manufacturing plant in South America produces stainless steel storage racks, shelf crossbeams, structural components, and other products. The workpieces are mostly thin plate assemblies made of 201/304 stainless steel square and round tubes. Manual welding suffers from inconsistent techniques, easily causing deformation and burn-through of thin plates. We built a complete stainless steel TIG welding robot workstation with 4 units of welding industrial robot as the core, integrated with supporting equipment. By pre-setting welding programs, the system can stably perform continuous TIG welding on frame joints, shelf crossbeams, and bracket connection points. The welding process is fully shielded by argon gas, resulting in smooth, spatter-free welds that are less prone to oxidation and discoloration. With low heat input, it effectively avoids deformation and burn-through of stainless steel thin plates, increasing the yield rate by approximately 20% and improving the product's surface finish.
